"After seeing the new Centurion Widget at CWC, I purchased a couple to try out in my workroom.  Rather than make a new sample shade, I retrofitted one I already had. I removed the cordless tube headrail and replaced it with a 3-cord Widget.  Centurion recommends using ladder tape, but my shade already had rings and ringlocks, so I just fed the cords from the Widget through the ringlocks.  It works beautifully! I've since made a few other shades using ladder tape, but it's nice to know that the Widget also works with ringlocks for those jobs where you want the waterfall effect in the folds."

Centurion Roman Shade is pleased to offer a "Cordless Lift" Roman Shade kit. Cordless, child safe window blinds are now required by law, so cord safety is a primary factor when choosing the correct product for your windows. There are guidelines and community advocate groups to help educate about the potential risk associated with cords (see our links). Most countries have now created laws around the manufacturing of safe window treatments to minimize the danger. Consumer awareness is also critical in creating a safe environment in a home or business.

The CenturionRS “Widget” allows fabricators a lower price point because it can be economically shipped, simply mounted to a wood board or batten, and allows you to fabricate the shade with minimal additional parts. The Widget also allows a return to traditional Roman Shade fabrication methods while upgrading for safety, new regulations, and ease of installation.
 
Please choose the correct Widget from the three options below. You can combine Widgets for wider shades. The maximum recommended length is 84” but the cord does come longer.
