Widgeteers Mastermind Mentoring Group
Welcome to our page for 2027 Widgeteers mentoring group. Applications are now open for consideration. Please read through all the requirements before applying so that you understand the commitment, schedule, expectations, and refund compensation.
Purpose
Small group that will meet monthly, as scheduled, to work through at least 7 shade styles. We will share confidentially, within the group, best practices for the fabricating. Each member agrees to fabricate each style. The monthly recap for each style will include self-critique and group input for the best results or variations possible within the style.
Commitment & Accountability
Once a month, in-person virtually, with the group attendance is required. You must have the shade style fabricated prior to the monthly meeting and be ready to critique yours and offer input on others' shades. This is a group mentoring session with varying levels of experience welcome and nurtured. All skill levels are welcome and the groups will be organized with a variety of experience in mind.
Allowance for missing 1-2 of the series is allowed with this requirement - member must provide a video critique of their shade prior to the monthly meeting for that style. This is for accountability and fairness to the other group members who commit and hold a seat in this mentoring group.
Membership is free (by application approval and invitation), and widget kits used for your sample shades, will be credited back upon successful completion of participating in all 7 shade styles.
Meetings will be scheduled ahead of time for the year. We will all meet on Zoom so you must have video capability with picture and sound in order to participate.
There will be 8 meetings from Jan - Aug scheduled (Jan is introduction and meet the group). The shade styles covered will include Flat Roman, Hobbled, Relaxed, TD/BU, Day/Night, Rear Mounted/Concealed Cord, Shaped Bottom Hem.
